# Visual System ## Source State This file extracts the accepted visual system from cleaned `intake/` files. It is an execution control file, not a duplicate of the full planning text. Core composition rule: > The world is larger than the person, the road is longer than the person, and the person is only the coordinate that keeps moving. ## Character System ### Identity - 50-year-old male traveler. - Based on the user's self-image direction, but current stage does not use the real face. - Not a rock star, model, drunk, or homeless figure. - A person worn by life and systems, but not spiritually collapsed. ### Temperament - Weathered rock feeling. - Warm but tired. - Lonely but steady. - Silent, not defeated. - Can be muddy and tired; cannot be broken, dirty to collapse, or fashion-styled. ### Appearance Anchors - Dark slightly messy hair. - Visible stubble. - Dark gray / dark khaki / coal-black traveler's long coat. - Dark inner layer. - Old backpack. - Old boots. - Body silhouette should feel able to keep walking: neither frail nor gym-styled. ### Common Poses - Back view walking. - Side view walking. - Low-head pause. - Standing in wind and looking far away. - Brief stop near a small fire. - Passing a puddle edge. - Tiny coordinate in a high-angle wide shot. ### Avoid - Direct front-facing portrait. - Posed hero stance. - Arms-open inspirational posture. - Fashion-model travel photography. - Homeless or drunk visual coding. ### Character Anchor Board Targets | Target | Requirement | | --- | --- | | Main board | Shallow gray-white background, 16:9 horizontal, readable as a character standard sheet. | | Three-view core | Front full body, side full body, back full body at consistent scale. | | State views | Half-body state, walking side, walking back. | | Prop breakdown | Long coat / inner layer, old backpack, old boots. | | Text labels | Age, temperament, hair/stubble, clothing, props, allowed/prohibited drift. | | Transparent slices | Front full body, side full body, back full body, walking side, walking back. | ### Active Character References Current scene-generation references are recorded in: ```text visual-system/characters/character-reference-registry.md ``` Only files listed there should be used as default character image references. Historical candidates and process files belong under: ```text archive/characters/ ``` ### Character Review Questions 1. Are front, side, and back views clearly the same person? 2. Does the back view remain recognizable? 3. Does the walking state feel real, not posed? 4. Is tiredness balanced with dignity? 5. Are coat, backpack, and boots stable enough to guide later shots? 6. When shrunk to a wide shot, does silhouette still identify the traveler? ## Style System ### A: Morning Muddy Wilderness - Function: main composition standard. - Must show world before person. - Preserve: long road, cold dawn, low saturation, mud, emptiness, person small or absent. - Avoid: travel ad, hero backshot, scenic tourism, portrait MV. ### B: High-Angle City Edge - Function: system pressure and observational view. - Preserve: urban edge, steel/concrete, wet ground, documentary observation, tiny person. - Avoid: city promotion, futuristic UI, code, cyber/neon, clean tech aesthetic. ### C: Muddy Starlight - Function: soul image. - Status: repaired sample accepted. - Accepted sample: `style/style-anchor-c-repair-v1.png`. - Must show: dark night or pre-dawn muddy puddle, real mud, visible broken star reflection, low-place-sees-high-place feeling. - Avoid: sunrise, sunset, pretty reflection only, fantasy magic, shoe advertisement, only mud/no stars, only stars/no mud. ### D: Night Road Fire - Function: ending warmth and confirmation of fellow travelers. - Preserve: small fire, dark road, distant fire points, restrained warmth. - Avoid: camping ad, party, gathering, victory, team reunion. ## Color And Light ### Base Palette - Cold gray. - Earth brown. - Dark khaki. - Coal black. - Wet dark blue-gray. ### Emotional Color - Small warm-orange fire. - Weak pre-dawn silver-blue. - Very small pale-gold edge if needed. ### Light Rules - Prefer overcast, morning, dusk, night, bridge shadow, or pre-dawn. - Avoid bright noon and tourist sunlight. - Night must keep dark depth. - Fire is local and restrained. - C must avoid obvious sun and broad warm light. ## Composition Rules - 16:9 horizontal. - Environment first, person second. - Normal person size: about 1/8 to 1/5 of frame. - Final wide can be smaller: about 1/20 to 1/12. - Prefer wide shot, distant shot, side/back view, low mud-level shot, and high observational view. - Use close/half face only rarely for age and dignity confirmation. ## Motifs | Motif | Function | | --- | --- | | Road | Fate and continuation. | | Mud | Reality, failure, weight, low place. | | Puddle reflection | Connection between low place and sky. | | Broken starlight | Meaning discovered inside difficulty. | | Fire | Direction, warmth, and others on the road. | | Old boots | Bodily cost and persistence. | | Old backpack | Continuity of the traveler identity. | | Wind / frost / rain | Environment pressure and road texture. | ## Shot Review Rules Every generated image should answer: 1. Is the first impression environment/motif rather than face? 2. Is the traveler small enough? 3. Does the image avoid portrait, hero, fashion, camping, city-promo, and tech-UI drift? 4. Does the image retain documentary reality even when poetic? 5. Does it say "still walking" rather than "has won"? ## Key-Shot Review Notes ### S-10 Steel Canyon - City must feel oppressive and edge-like. - Person about 1/10 to 1/6 of frame. - No UI, code, sci-fi city, or commercial skyline. ### S-46 Muddy Starlight - Puddle and mud are the subject. - Boot or body element stays at the edge, under 15%. - Star reflection must be visible and broken. - No sunrise/sunset, no fantasy, no shoe ad. ### S-51 Final Wide - Person very small, about 1/20 to 1/12. - Road and distant fires matter more than the person. - Warmth is real but restrained. - No reunion, no victory, no camping. ## Materialization Log | Date | Target | Result | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 2026-06-23 | Extract visual system | initialized | Created from cleaned intake.
